About Esfeller Construction Company

During the late 70's Michael W. Esfeller began constructing driveways, house pad, and septic tank systems as well as performing land clearing on week nights and weekends while still in high school. He continued doing construction projects while attending Faulkner State pursuing a business management degree. Once out of school Michael worked offshore on drilling rigs for Rowan Drilling Company Inc. While onshore he would handle construction projects. In the winter of 1978 Michael married Patricia Williams. In 1979 Esfeller Construction Company was formed as a sole proprietorship. Patricia continued to work in the business while earning a business management degree from the University of South Alabama. After hurricane Fredrick three employees were hired to perform storm recovery work as well as general site preparation. The Esfeller's continued to work in construction expanding the business. Esfeller Construction's services were retained by many individuals, general contractors, and businesses to perform various construction activities because of their reputation for great pricing, quality of work, and delivering a completed project on time.

During the 1980's Esfeller Construction Company was subcontracted by Foster Wheeler to finish the Mobil Mary Ann Plant in Coden, AL. Esfeller was also hired to help construct pipelines and shallow gas well locations in the Mobile and Baldwin County areas. Roustabouts, welders, pipe fitters, and maintenance works were supplied to onshore and offshore oil field locations. At this time the company was divided to form Esfeller Construction Company, Inc. and Esfeller Oil Field. Esfeller Oil Field was formed to meet this growing demand for industrial fabrication and maintenance in the Mobile and Baldwin County areas. Patricia W. Esfeller is 100% owner and president of Esfeller Construction Company, Inc and vice president of Esfeller Oilfield. Michael Esfeller is 100% owner of Esfeller Oilfield and serves as its president and also serves as Esfeller Constructions vice president. Both companies grew as the oil industry expanded in the surrounding area. Esfeller Construction also experienced an increase in business due to the exponential growth in south Alabama and south Mississippi.
